I strongly value independence and believe that increasing awareness can help you take responsibility for your actions and improve control over your life. After all, no one knows your situation better than you! 

 

Therefore, I foster a collaborative client approach, allowing you to take responsibility for your actions through counselling. Sometimes, I would classify my role as a facilitator, with my purpose to facilitate change while you provide the direction.

 

My theory of psychotherapy includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). 

 

Together, we work to increase psychological flexibility in the present moment through techniques such as mindfulness, yoga, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), noticing, and acceptance.

  • Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC; 10004099) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA),

  • Licensed Counselling Therapist (20-014) through the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick (CCTNB). 

  • Master of Education in Counselling at UNB in May 2018 and became a certified Yoga Instructor in August 2019. 

  • Completed EMDR Training (January 2023)
